As a court-ordered deadline to reunite all families the Trump administration separated at the border elapsed, one in three children still remained away from their parents, with no clear indication when they would be reunited.
Marleine Bastien, Executive Director of Family Action Network Movement (FANM), stated, "Congress must act promptly to protect the basic rights of due process of all bona fide refugees coming to our shores in search of safe haven. It is urgent to reunite all refugees with their children now."
